Fireboy-Xintex ESC Series Marine Engine Shutdown System

The ESC series engine shutdown system is designed to automatically shutdown your engines, generators, and blower systems in the event of a fire in the engine compartment. By turning off the engine you are allowing your fire suppression system reach proper agent levels of concentration that is needed to extinguish a fire. This automatic engine shutdown system includes a Fireboy (DU-SBH-20) second station display panel. This panel is a water resistant display that features multi-colored LED's for the helm station with override functionality.

This system helps provide a visual and audible alerts to your fire suppression system. The easily observable circuit board features LED's to indicate the boards and Fireboy extinguisher status as well as if a fault condition exists. This engine shutdown control system includes a shutdown control model and held display with built in override button. Both units should be installed at the helm so that there is access to the ignition wiring.

ESC Series Automatic Marine Engine Shutdown System Operational Instructions

This engine shutdown control system operated by means of relays that connect the control module to the Fireboy extinguisher by means of a pressure switch. The shutdown control model activates and disconnects/connects power to the connected system when the extinguisher pressure switch opens. The helm display features a green LED to indicate normal operations, and that your extinguisher is charged. Once the extinguisher's pressure drops, the green LED will turn off and the red LED will turn on and the alarm horn will engage.

To activate override mode press the override button which will cause the red LED to begin flashing. This indicates override mode is active and you will not be able to restart your engines and maneuver the vessel to safety. The system will remain in override mode until it is manually deactivated by pressing the override system while the system is powered. To notify you are still in override mode, when the engines are restarted both LED's will illuminate and the system will beep multiple times. Once the red LED begins flashing press the override button to exit override mode and continue normal operations.
