The Mercury 1st Mate Marine Safety and Security System Kit is an advanced wireless safety solution designed for Mercury SmartCraft dual-engine boats. As the industry’s first engine-integrated intelligent hub and wearable device system of its kind, 1st Mate helps improve onboard safety and security with man overboard monitoring, distress alert capability, and theft deterrence.

This kit is designed to notify the captain or passengers if someone falls overboard. For the captain, 1st Mate replaces the traditional mechanical emergency stop switch and lanyard with a convenient wireless captain fob that can be worn at all times. The system can also monitor up to seven passengers when paired with additional passenger fobs and wearables, which are sold separately.

In addition to man overboard functionality, the 1st Mate system includes distress message capability and a theft deterrent system that allows you to lock your engines to help prevent unauthorized use. This kit includes the vessel hub, harness, captain fob, adjustable wristband, and carabiner clip, giving you the core components needed to add another layer of protection on the water.
